Our story

SAMI was started by Dr Jennifer Chau who is a Registered Australian Specialist in Veterinary Radiology. Jennifer graduated at the University of Sydney in 2007 and was a general practitioner and emergency veterinarian for 5 years. She has a strong interest in abdominal ultrasound and entered a specialist training program in veterinary diagnostic imaging. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Studies and Masters in Veterinary Studies (Diagnostic Imaging) at the University of Sydney. Jennifer obtained Membership in Veterinary Radiology through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in 2014, and completed her Fellowship in Veterinary Radiology in 2017.
